We’re excited to share one of our new innovations at our recently installed asphalt plant!
Feel free to watch our video:
Dryer discharge chutes typically dissipate significant amount of heat through their surfaces. With internal temperatures ranging from 150°C to 300°C, we observed that the external temperature of the chute generally exceeds 160°C. This is where our engineers saw an opportunity to improve efficiency. They developed a solution using water heat exchangers placed in the chute, which circulate water through them and transfer the heat to the floors of the aggregate storage bays.
This process helps to warm up the aggregates, reduce the temperature delta, lower residual moisture, and decrease overall energy consumption, resulting in reduced carbon emissions.
This improvement highlights our team’s engineering capabilities and our commitment to sustainability.
