Another day, another installation!
We are putting up a Bulldog 125 Free Standing Modular Asphalt Plant for one of our customers. This is a unique plant with vertical hot storage bins and horizontal skip system which shortens the skip travel time and reduces the heat loss which reduces the carbon footprint in return.
Key features and benefits of the new asphalt plant include:
- 1750 kg Mixer: Equipped with a 1750 kg mixer, the new plant is designed to produce up to 125 tonnes/hour.
- 2 x 40 Tonne Hot Storage with Horizontal Skip: The plant features two 40-tonne hot storage silos with a horizontal skip system. The horizontal skip travels a shorter distance, which helps to reduce heat loss during material transfer, improving energy efficiency and preserving the asphalt quality.
- Modular and Free-Standing Design: Main frame and silos are modular and sit on mobile foundations which significantly reduce the ground works and civils costs.
- Small Footprint: Without the height restrictions we were able to design a tower-type plant with vertical hot storage under the mixer which allows for a much more compact setup.
- Utilising the Existing Cold Bins: Our engineering department utilised the existing cold bins supplied by the customer and designed new feeding conveyors for them.
- New Feeding Conveyors: The existing cold bins have been upgraded with our new feeding conveyors.
- Environmental Sustainability: The new plant is designed with eco-friendly features that minimize emissions and energy consumption, aligning with our commitment to sustainable practices.
