Tarmac has opened a new, modern asphalt plant in Trowse, Norwich. This plant will provide low-carbon surfacing materials and various Tarmac Ultimate asphalt products. It’s a big step towards eco-friendly construction and reducing carbon emissions.

Bulldog is proud to be a part of this project. Our team has successfully handled the job from design to completion, including civils, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning. The new Tarmac plant includes innovative, sustainable features to boost efficiency and cut carbon emissions. These features include:

• Underfloor heating in covered storage bays to reduce aggregate moisture content and fuel use, cutting carbon emissions by an estimated 14% each year.
• On-site wind turbines to provide carbon-neutral electricity.
• Energy-saving LED lighting throughout the facility.
